The Brooklyn Art Historian

Art History through the eyes of a Brooklyn native.

Author: thebrooklynarthistorian

I am an Art Historian living in Brooklyn, trying to shed light and grow interest in Renaissance, Baroque, Medieval and other periods of art. I hold degrees in Renaissance Art History from Fordham University and University of Glasgow and have worked at Marian Goodman Gallery, one of the most significant contemporary art galleries in New York. I am also a person of color, and one of my goals with this blog and my Instagram (@shaushauredemption) is to educate and inspire more people of color to visit museums, engage with and feel comfortable with art and the institutions that house it. Happy reading!
